Dutch Finance Minister: "not yet regained pre-crisis levels", cuts €18 billion

The worldwide financial and economic crisis took a heavy toll on Dutch government finances in 2010 as well as in 2009, according to the finance ministry’s annual report, published on Thursday.

‘Although we have not yet regained pre-crisis levels, the figures show we are heading in the right direction. The economy has improved slightly, but government finances are still far from healthy,’ finance minister Jan Kees de Jager said in a statement.
